The Groundhog Day Escape Room will take students on a mission all while learning about the history of Groundhog Day and its significance in the U.S. This escape room is engaging and focuses on reading comprehension, critical thinking, peer collaboration, & problem solving skills.
 
Students will practice close reading skills by reading & rereading a passage several times to find answers and complete 6 different challenges. The best part…NO PREP for teachers. JUST PRINT & GO!
 
This activity can be used for Groundhog Day, partner activities, anticipatory sets, sub plans, extension activities, early-finishers, stations, or independent work. How you choose to set it up in your classroom is up to you. You my also choose to do one challenge per day or complete them all in one or two class periods.
