Looking for a fun, low-prep way to review any topic while keeping your students engaged and excited? HIGH SEAS HUSTLE is an editable PowerPoint and Google Slides game that turns ordinary review into a strategic, interactive classroom favorite!
 
Here’s how it works
Divide students into teams (crews). Ideally 2–10 teams depending on class size. Each team needs a whiteboard & marker or something similar to display answers.
A question appears on the screen & teams work quickly to solve it. The first two teams to display the correct answer on their whiteboard move on to the next round.
The Choice: Yo Ho or Yoink?
The two winning crews now face a pirate’s dilemma. Secretly, each team chooses either:
"Yo Ho" to split the treasure
"Yoink" to try and steal it all
Each team secretly writes their choice & reveals it at the same time.
Outcomes:
If both teams choose “Yo Ho” → They split the treasure equally.
If one team picks “Yo Ho” & one team picks “Yoink” → The “Yoink” team gets all the treasure.
If both teams pick “Yoink” → No one gets the treasure this round. Greed backfires!
Continue with the next question for all teams. Repeat until the game ends or class time runs out.
